Olivier Antoine is an actor, director, and educator. After studying visual arts and completing an apprenticeship in street arts with the Théâtre du Miroir, he worked at the Conservatoire de Paris as an assistant to Mario Gonzalez. He directs shows in circus, theater, dance, and music. He is the founder and artistic director of Cie Affabulation and Cie Ab Joy. He has appeared in films directed by Béatrice Pollet, Yann Gozlan, Bruno Garcia, and others. For the past 20 years, he has been teaching and developing his pedagogical research at numerous higher education artistic institutions, including ESAC since 1996.
Christophe MorissetA musician, actor, and director trained at INSAS and in trombone under Michel Massot, improvisation under Garett List at the Conservatoire de Liège, and sackbut under Wim Bécu. He combines his theatrical activities with his instrumental practice. He is responsible for staging and musical composition for “Entre Nous” by “Carré Curieux” and founded the musical project “Lucanes,” a duo featuring serpent and viola da gamba, centered around his own compositions. He has been teaching at ESAC since 2010
Cloé DefossezCloé Defossez is a multi-instrumentalist from Brussels who has released several albums under the name Cloé du Trèfle. She has won numerous awards in Belgium and abroad and has performed concerts around the world. Additionally, she composes music for films and collaborates with artists from various disciplines.
Benoit EscarmelleTrained in set design at La Cambre from 1981 to 1986, he began working regularly in advertising cinema, theater, young audience theater, and dance during his studies. In 1997, he discovered the circus world through his collaboration with ENAC. Initially teaching set design there, he later took on the pedagogical and artistic direction of ESAC. Since 2008, he has been coordinating personal projects as well as public workshops and creations.
Silvia UbietaSilvia began her dance training in Seville and continued it at P.A.R.T.S. She carries out her activities as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher in Belgium and abroad, collaborating with artists such as Pierre Droulers and Bob Wilson. She teaches courses and workshops for Belgian companies such as Michèle-Anne de Mey Company, the Royal Ballet School of Flanders, Charleroi-Danses/La Raffinerie, and the Educational Service of La Monnaie. She has been a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor since 2009.
Sylvain HonorezTrained in dramatic interpretation at INSAS and by various masters of acting, he has performed for theater, both on stage and behind the camera. As a director, he specializes in directing actors for theater and circus, and he creates events that blend different artistic disciplines. He has conducted workshops in Belgium, Kinshasa, Montreal, Paris, and Berlin. Since 2002, he has been teaching general interpretation at ESAC, leading research and creation workshops, and supporting the personal projects of second and third-year students. His research focuses on the actor-creator and the body in space.
Thomas HoeltzelGaelle Bisellach-RoigGaëlle Bisellach is a director, dancer, and object manipulator. As a child, she began dancing. As an adult, she studied juggling and aerial fabric at the Higher School of Circus Arts in Brussels, where she began experimenting with image projection. She then spent three years with the company du Hanneton, as a dancer and juggler in “La Veillée des Abysses,” directed by James Thierrée. In 2005, she founded La Manœuvre, a company specializing in object manipulation, body, and image. In 2008, she co-founded Delirium Lumens with Franck Française. Together, they create monumental scenographies where the audience is immersed in hand-animated low-tech projections. For about ten years, she has been conducting regular workshops for jugglers in professional schools such as CRAC in Lomme, Lido in Toulouse, and ESAC in Brussels, where she mentors end-of-study projects.
Roman FedinOriginally from Russia, he began his career at the age of 10 in acro-sport, which led him to the ‘Karandash’ circus school in Moscow where he obtained the circus artist diploma. After numerous tours in Europe, he returned to the Moscow circus school in 2002 where he became a teacher. In parallel, he performed as a solo artist with a rola-bola act. In 2008, he graduated from university as a “sports director”. From 2005, he has been engaged at ESAC for aerial disciplines.
Sven DemeyAfter studying physiotherapy at K.U.L., he briefly ventured into dance before becoming the coach of the Belgian national men’s gymnastics team. He joined ESAC in 2004, where Arian Miluka instructs him in circus arts. His knowledge of the field, combined with his experiences, led him to work as an acrobatic scout for Franco Dragone Entertainment Group and to write several educational manuals for FEDEC. He has also taught at ENC in Montreal.
