general policy

Like many of its sister organisations, ÉSAC is very much in demand for observation courses, practical training, tours etc. Our premises mean that we are unable to establish a concrete policy for exchanges or ongoing training. Every request is looked at on a case-by-case basis, according to the programme of activities, the time of year, the workload of the professors and the availability of rooms. All students on these courses, whether they are practicing or observing, must respect the institution’s internal rules and must be covered by a specific insurance policy, which is generally connected to an agreement between colleges.

observatory exchanges

In view of the current conditions related to the Covid-19 crisis and the health measures that need to be followed, ÉSAC is not currently allowed to welcome outside visitors. We will review our policy as the pandemic evolves.

These are aimed at students from preparatory schools (Fedec – type II). These courses are often incorporated into the curriculum, and they are a really important way to understand how a college works. Even if there is no practical circus training, these courses offer an opportunity to meet teachers and students, to talk to them and get a sense of the place, the city and the potential life that you might lead. They provide concrete points of reference for real life at the institution. These courses generally last 2 days, which is enough to grasp the essentials. Preparing for the admission tests for a bachelor’s degree is also about identifying your desires, feelings and affinities, both artistic and technical.

We usually run these courses between January and April, but you can submit a specific request to the office and we will look at possible solutions: thais.cesar@esac.be

practical exchanges

Only available for students on Bachelor’s degree programmes (Fedec – Type), these educational exchanges are generally organised by the management and educational departments. Depending on each institution’s exchange policy, these exchanges last a maximum of one week. These are practical exchanges that can be organised between October and April, but each request will be assessed individually to see whether it fits in with an institution’s calendar. You can submit your specific request to the office thais.cesar@esac.be

observatory internships

Many students from arts colleges or other faculties ask students to complete a dissertation, an observation project or a review project based on ÉSAC’s activities. Requests should be addressed to the office and will be looked at on a case-by-case basis: info@esac.be.

Please note that the image rights for ÉSAC’s students and activities are protected by copyright, so any images or recordings created can only be used within the context of educational work. ÉSAC asks that a copy of the completed work is sent to ÉSAC and that an agreement is drawn up before the experience begins.
